Release Notes
v 5.0.0-rc4:
This is the release that is includes in the Open-E
"update package". This release does not include
the ESS kernel release. You can download the
kernel release.
v 5.0.0-rc4 Bugs:
This built in release is a partial distribution.
It is intended to be updates after install.

Critical updates are maintained
across re-boots. This includes the ESS kernel
modules and ESS license files.

Other updates are lost across
re-boots. For example if you update the ESS
text utility to get access to new benchmark
functgions, this update will be lost across a system
reboot. You can always get this back by
running the update function again, and exiting and
re-entering the ESS text utility. You can do
this while the server is active.
v 5.0.0-rc6 / v 5.0.0-rc6-2:
This is the current release. The -2 is the version
of the text utility while the kernel version is
5.0.0-rc6.
There are no identified bugs in the
ESS run-time as of this writing.
