BonFire NVMe
BonFire NVMe is a variant
of BonFire designed for extreme speed. Ordinary RAIDed
sets of SATA and NVMe SSDs have practical write limits of
around 13 GB/sec. WildFire's new technology expands
the write threshhold to write speeds approaching 40GB/sec and IOPS
rates approaching 8 million. This creates new design
opportunities.

BonFire NVMe
reduces manufacturing costs. Recalling that
Wild--Fire's patented technology - ESS -increases Flash
media effective life by more than an order of magnitude, a
bunch of factors creap into the issue of comparitive cost.
NVMe SSDs tend to be significantly more expensive than SATA
SSDs. Similarly, both Consumer and Enterprise NVMe
SSDs are available for machines employing BonFire
technology. Finally, the use of Parity RAID is
desirable in a BonFire NVMe environment but causes
significant performance loss when traditionally applied. When
media savings are combined with reduced spindle counts,
BonFire can reduce NVMe storage media costs by as much as
75%. Given the costs of NVMe media, the actual saving
can be profound.
BonFire NVMe is a
dream to use. BonFire NVMe systems can
be managed and monitored in clusters from a single WebGUi
terminal. Unlike simple structured applications,
BonFire presents a unified solution for a specific problem,
such as configuring storage, networking, or HA, and lets you
both look at the entire problem in a single glance while
pre-validating the entire answer-set.
